Apartment Nabucco is absolutely a home from home. Beautiful enough to tempt you back again and again, but cosy and comfortable enough to make you feel you’re simply spending the week with a good friend.

The open-plan living spaces are perfect for sharing time with friends and family. Capacious sofas and armchairs are gathered around a statement fireplace and the large windows look out over the twinkling lights of Zermatt and the awesome presence of the Matterhorn, which looms impressively over the town. A cosy dining area sits adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen so you and your party can cook and eat together and then sit for hours over some excellent local food and wine.

Should you be hoping for some serious rest and relaxation while you’re here, you’re also well catered for. There is a shared wellness area with whirlpool baths, a steam room and sauna, as well as a luxurious relaxation area, all designed to soothe any aches and pains picked up on the slopes. And each of the bedrooms is designed with your total comfort in mind, to include bathrobes, hair dryers and luxury bath products, making each a little bolthole of its own whenever you need to relax both body and mind. Two of the bedrooms have access to private south-facing balconies, both of which have fabulous Matterhorn views.

All the practicalities are catered for, too. A ski room with heated boot racks and ski storage makes life easy when you trudge back in from the snow. There’s also a Miele washing machine and tumbler to get clothes clean and dry whenever you need them. And don’t forget, anything you need can be arranged with the help of the chalet’s concierge, from booking restaurant tables and ski school to arranging shopping and childcare.

Location

This luxury ski chalet is close to the centre of Zermatt, just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and the Sunnegga ski lift, but is tucked away in a quiet location so you’ll find it peaceful in the evenings.

Being a car-free town makes Zermatt a quiet and safe place to stay, with cobbled streets and picture-postcard chocolate boutiques providing a stunning backdrop to this characterful resort.

Geneva Airport is approximately 3 hours drive away.

Apartment Nabucco is a self-catered luxury ski chalet, which comes well-equipped with all you need to cook for yourself and your party. A top-of-the-range kitchen is fitted with Miele and Nespresso appliances to make preparing food a pleasure. Nearby, a comfortable and sophisticated dining area provides space for you all to relax over long meals, fine wines and good conversation.

Of course, there is a plethora of wonderful eateries in Zermatt, too, and Nabucco’s concierge team is always on hand to make suggestions and bookings for you. We particularly like Ristorante Capri and Omnia, both Michelin starred and neither ever disappoints.

Kids

Apartment Nabucco is a spacious chalet with room to play, all on one level with lift access, so no stairs for little ones to negotiate. When you do venture out with the kids, you’re perfectly placed to do so with both the lift station and charming resort centre just moments away.

Two of the four bedrooms in Apartment Nabucco can be configured as either twins or doubles, giving you lots of flexibility if you’re travelling with children. A cot and highchair can be provided if you need it, and there is a concierge service which can help with booking nannies and suitable restaurant reservations, too.
