Eating
Wonderful food and drink is a key part of the luxury experience at Chalet Fourmiliere.
During your stay, you’ll wake to the aroma of a freshly cooked breakfast to tempt you out of bed and top up your energy levels for the morning. When you come in from your day’s skiing, tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be ready for you with homemade cakes and savoury treats.
Evenings are an occasion to remember. Kick off with canapés and aperitifs around the roaring fire – the house bar here features one of the best gin collections in the Alps. Then sit down to a delicious four-course dinner served by your chef and accompanied by fine wine. Sample dishes might include venison with savoy cabbage, caramelised apple and onion tarte tatin, or duck breast with butternut squash. Be sure to request a French night with fondue.
If that’s not enough, you’ll be able to dip into the sweetie and cookie jar at any time, and take a welcome hip flask and snacks with you to the slopes.
As is typical of a ski chalet stay in France, cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner is served five days a week, with a continental breakfast provided on two days.
