If you’re a large group, looking for a sleek, contemporary luxury ski chalet, Machapuchare may just be for you. This stunning luxury ski chalet in Val d’Isere is brand new for 2018/19 and has been beautifully conceived to be the perfect base from which to explore all that this wonderful town has to offer, and attentive staff are always on hand to ensure your every whim is their command.

As you enter the chalet on the ground floor you pass the stunning spa area. The pool has a counter-current you can swim against and there’s also a hammam and treatment room where you can ease any aches and pains and perhaps enjoy a massage or facial to pamper you into a feeling of total serenity. The ground floor also has a cinema room where you can sink into oversized sofas to enjoy an afternoon film. And if you feel in need of any more pampering, you could do worse than wander into the private garden and sink into the outdoor hot tub for an hour or so. Total bliss.

On the second floor, you will find the property’s beautiful living and dining spaces, a double-height living room, where a glass door slides open onto a spacious balcony with fabulous views of Val d’Isere. It’s a wonderful space in which to enjoy long, leisurely dinners and relax over canapés while your chef cooks up a storm. The kitchen can be open plan to the living space or closed off for privacy. Whether you are perched at the bar or reclined on the sofa, this huge living space is ideal for gathering with friends and family.

Each of the luxury bedrooms is designed with comfort in mind, to guarantee you a great night’s sleep.

And in the morning, you’re just moments from the slopes. A well-equipped ski room and a comprehensive driver service mean you will never waste a moment getting to where you want to be. Eating

You can be assured of always being well fed at this luxury ski chalet. Whether you want gastronomic delights or something much more simple, and whatever your whims, needs or wishes, your chef will devise a menu that’s perfect for you.

Each morning at Chalet Machapuchare you’ll come down to a cooked or continental breakfast that is sure to set you up for a day on the slopes. Graze on muesli, yoghurt, cheeses and deli meats and beautiful fruit platters, or indulge in a cooked breakfast or the daily hot special.

When you return from your skiing day afternoon tea will be laid out waiting for you. Then, in the evening, pre-dinner canapés and champagne are served while your chef prepares a three-course gastronomic meal for you and your fellow guests, rounded off with a local cheeseboard. Dinner is accompanied by European wines and finished with a coffee or digestif by the fire.

On the chef’s day off, your hosts will be pleased to help you book tables at any of Val d’Isere’s wonderful restaurants.

Kids

There’s so much for children to do at this luxury ski chalet. In the afternoons they’ll love splashing in the pool or catching a movie matinee in the cinema room.

Your chef will prepare a dedicated children’s tea each day in the early evening, catering to the fussiest of fussy eaters and allowing little ones to enjoy a relaxed meal where they don’t have to be on their best behaviour… And later on, the grown-ups can enjoy a more relaxed meal post-bedtime.

On the chef’s night off, there is a complimentary babysitting service available if you wish to head into town without little ones, safe in they knowledge that they are being well looked after. Additional childcare during your holiday can be arranged on request.

Cots and highchairs can be provided for those travelling with babies and toddlers.
