You’ll want for nothing during your stay here. Chalet Mariefleur has a dedicated team including a chalet host and chalet manager, as well as a private chef to conjure up canapés, afternoon tea and delicious four-course dinners. As for additional facilities that go beyond the standard chalet offerings, how about a plush sound-proofed cinema room, den-like games room, sauna and steam room, and hot tub featuring lofty mountain views?

This four-storey chalet houses five bedrooms on its various levels. Each bedroom is a cosy cocoon with a cabin-style feel and comes with its own glossy en-suite bathroom. The communal space is a welcoming open-plan kitchen/dining/living area centred around a roaring fire, where you can all sit and chat over a few glasses of wine long into the evenings.

If you’re planning a luxury ski holiday in France as a larger group, Chalet Mariefleur can be hired together with sister properties Chalet Brioche and Chalet Marielaine (subject to availability) to accommodate for up to 27 guests.

Location

Chalet Mariefleur is located in a peaceful Mussillon cul-de-sac at the edge of Meribel, next to sister chalets Chalet Marielaine and Chalet Brioche.

It’s around a 15-minute walk into the town centre and to the ski lifts, but there’s no need to walk. Guests have use of an in-resort minibus service (8am to 8pm) to whisk you to and from the slopes, town centre and après-ski bars, and there’s a local ski bus that runs until midnight.

Airport transfers take around 1 hour 20 minutes from Chambery or just over 2 hours from Geneva and Lyon.

Bedrooms 1 & 2:
Double/twin bedrooms on ground floor with en-suite bathrooms.

Eating

Top-quality food and drink is a big part of the experience at Chalet Mariefleur. A Champagne reception on arrival sets the scene for what’s to come.

Wake to the smell of strong coffee and a hearty breakfast of cereals, pastries and fruit, with your private chef on hand to whip up your favourite fluffy pancakes or Eggs Benedict. When you return from your day’s skiing, a classic afternoon tea will be waiting to refuel you.

The evening kicks off with canapés around the roaring fire. Then you will sit down to a mouth-watering four-course meal accompanied by a handpicked selection of wines and beers.

As is typical for catered ski chalets in France, you’ll enjoy this fully catered experience five days out of seven. For two days, breakfast will be self-service and your host will be happy to recommend some top options for dinner in Meribel.

The chalet’s private chef will prepare children’s tea at 6pm, five nights per week, leaving you free to enjoy more leisurely dinners after their bedtime. Chalet staff can also help with booking ski lessons, non-ski activities and childcare.
