Inside, Chalet Nanook is everything you’d hope for; with traditional good looks, and designed in a natural theme, with rustic woods and stone dominating the decor and occasional bursts of colour, such as in the eclectic headboards in the bedrooms, bringing a little humour and energy to the scheme.

The living spaces have plenty of room for every member of your party to gather together or find somewhere private for some peace and quiet. A statement fireplace is the heart of the communal space here and a wonderful place to get together and swap stories of your day’s adventures. Several cosy seating areas offer space to park yourself with a good book or sit down and catch up with friends. And the fully equipped kitchen and cosy dining space mean there’s always somewhere to share food, wine and conversation with loved ones.

There’s plenty to keep everyone busy, too. A games room with table football, snooker and a bar on the mezzanine floor. When you just need to relax, sprawl on the huge, squashy sofas and chaise chairs in the home cinema in front of a film.

If you feel in need of a little pampering after an energetic day on the slope, the private spa has everything you need to restore both body and soul. Do some lengths in the pool, enjoy the sauna and Hammam, bubble away in the indoor Jacuzzi or enjoy a massage. You’re guaranteed to emerge feeling completely new.

At the end of each day, you’ll fall into super-comfy beds in luxury en-suite bedrooms. We’d recommend before you do that you take a nightcap out to the outdoor dining room on the balcony and breathe in the night air and watch the stars twinkle on over the town. This luxury ski chalet in Saint Martin de Belleville has a truly enviable location, just 200 metres from both the slopes at Biolley and the centre of town, and virtually on top of the TK Piste du Village ski lift.

The nearest airports are Grenoble and Lyon (1h 30m). Geneva airport is approximately 2 hours drive away from this luxury ski chalet.

Eating

Chalet Nanook is a luxury self-catered ski chalet where you can enjoy the freedom to eat when and where you prefer.

The chalet has an open kitchen with a bar area so that if you choose to cook for yourselves, whoever is playing chef that night can still be sociable and chat to friends and family while preparing a meal.

Adjacent to the kitchen area is a lovely, light dining space in the open-plan living area where you can enjoy a quick breakfast before you set off for the slopes, or relax in the evening over homecooked food and a few bottles of wine.

Of course, there are lots of wonderful eateries to enjoy in Saint Martin de Belleville, too, and the property is only a stone’s throw from the centre of town so it’s easy to make the most of the buzzing food scene. We particularly love the three-Michelin-starred La Bouitte and the traditional French dishes at L’Etoiles des Neiges.

There’s a ski school less than a kilometre from the front door for young skiers just finding their feet, and with everything within easy reach of the chalet, from restaurants to the ski lifts, this is a great location for skiing families.
