And the best thing about it is that you can enjoy the mountains without even leaving the chalet – the ‘living’ floor has fabulous views out over the snowy Face de Bellevarde, which you can enjoy from in front of the roaring fire with a drink in your hand of an evening. A cosy antidote to hurling yourself down the mountain in daylight!
Down in the basement is a beautiful indoor swimming pool and Hammam where you can spend a relaxing afternoon pampering yourself to within an inch of your life.
The en-suite bedrooms are all kitted out with luxury bathroom products to ensure every second of your time at Chalet Papillon is an indulgence. Rustic wood panelling and crisp cotton sheets make for a restful combination that makes it almost impossible not to get a sound night’s sleep.

Catering
When booking Chalet Papillon, you can decide if you’d prefer a catered service or opt for bed & breakfast.
If taken on a catered basis, you private chef will be on hand to ensure everyone’s needs and whims are catered to during your stay. Each morning will start with freshly cooked breakfast to set you up for the day, and you’ll return home to afternoon tea.
On five evenings, pre-dinner aperitifs is served before your gourmet dinner. To enhance your dining experience, wine pairing can be arranged with your evening meal at additional cost. You’ll then have two evenings on staff days off to explore the wonderful selection of restaurants in Val d’Isère.
If trying local restaurants on two evenings simply isn’t enough, or if you have a keen cook in the group, taking Chalet Papillon on a bed & breakfast is a wonderful option. A continental breakfast is provided each morning, ideal for a more relaxed start to the day, and afternoon tea laid out to see you through until dinner.
Your chalet manager will be delighted to help recommend restaurants and make bookings, whether for dinner reservations or lunch on the mountain.
Bedrooms & Layout
Chalet Papillon sleeps 8 adults + 2 children across four bedrooms.
Bedroom one:
Family suite on ground floor with master bedroom, interconnecting kids’ bunk room and shared en-suite shower room.
Bedroom two:
Double/twin bedroom on ground with en-suite shower room.
Bedrooms three and four:
Double/twin bedrooms on first floor each with en-suite shower rooms.
For larger groups and subject to availability, Chalet Papillon can be rented along with Chalet La Face, together accommodating up to 20 guests. The two properties are connected via the garage.
Family-friendly
Chalet Papillon welcomes junior guests and its close proximity to the piste is a huge bonus for families with children. The ski lift is a short walk away, so you don’t have to worry about schlepping little legs on long journeys each day.
The chalet, with indoor swimming pool is a big draw for kids. There’s plenty of room for them to play in the airy living spaces, too. The main bedroom makes for a great family room with an interconnecting bunk room, perfect for littles ones who wish to be close to their parents.
Cots and highchairs can also be provided for smaller guests and childcare can be arranged on request.

Chalet Papillon is situated close to the centre of Val d’Isère, just 2 minutes’ walk from the Bellevarde Express lift.
The nearest airports are Chambery which is just under 2 hour’s drive away or Geneva, approximately 3 hours away.
