For those who like their luxury ski holidays with all the comforts and little extras and all the powder, but less of the crowds and less hustle and bustle, Chalet V might be the gem they are looking for.
This luxury ski chalet in La Tzoumaz is not far from Verbier, but the bijou ski resort is a little haven for those wanting to get away from it all. The chalet has a private ski room at the gondola, just a three-minute drive from the property and from there you can ski across to Verbier and explore any of the 410km of the Four Valleys area. La Tzoumaz also has a 10km toboggan run that comes into the village, snowshoe tracks and an ice rink so there’s plenty other than skiing to keep snow bunnies happy. And there’s a small but excellent selection of restaurants and cafes to choose from.
Chalet V itself is beautifully spacious. The five-bedroom chalet offers 12 guests plenty of room to relax and gather together, whether that’s at the table enjoying gourmet food prepared by your chef, grouped around the impressive feature fireplace in the living area for drinks and canapés, or slouched in the TV room in front of a good film. Plenty of large terraces give everyone somewhere to escape to for a little peace, preferably with a furry throw and a glass of something to warm you.
On quiet afternoons post-ski we suggest you make the most of the luxury spa facilities. The open-air heated infinity pool is something to behold. With nothing but the steam rising from the pool between you and the mountains, it’s a fabulous spot to take in the views. There’s also a sauna, steam shower and a large hot tub. After a few hours here, you’ll feel like a new person.
Throughout the property rich, warm woods, neutral colour palettes, carefully designed lighting and luxury extras combine to create a truly cosseting atmosphere, and a welcoming feel you’ll be pleased to return home to each day.
Chalet V is located in La Tzoumaz, the neighbouring village to Verbier.
La Tzoumaz town centre and access to the slopes are just 3mins drive away. Chalet V has its own private ski room at the gondola where you can pick up your pre-heated boots before getting in the Savoleyres cable car, giving access to the 4 Vallées ski area, Switzerland’s biggest skiing area with over 400km of pistes.
The nearest airport is Geneva, approximately 1hr 40mins drive away.

La Tzoumaz is a bit of a hidden gem for families and you can access Verbier’s skiing while skipping the lift queues.
Children are given a warm welcome at this luxury family-friendly ski chalet, too. The open-plan design means there’s plenty of space to play and sprawl, and a lift allows you to get around the property easily with little ones in your arms. There’s room for cots for those travelling with babies, while older kids will enjoy the four-berth bunk room where they can escape the gaze of the grown-ups for a while.
A TV room offers a space for them to curl up with a film and they’re sure to love the 90s pinball machine here, too. An infinity pool means there’s somewhere for them to splash and work off any energy they have left after a morning at ski school.
