When you’re feeling active, if you venture the short walk down to the beach you’ll find tennis courts en route, and paddle boards and canoes on arrival too – just make sure you pre-book hire.

Inside Villa Erato, things are just as easy on the eye. The beautiful stone-clad villa is brand new, and everything has been finished to the highest standard. The design is contemporary and stylish, with white clad walls, pitched ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows more reminiscent of a luxurious pad in the Hollywood Hills than Corfu.

The kitchen is full of mod-cons and the sky blue cabinets bring a little Greek charm to the place, meanwhile the living room is spacious and airy to create a calming space to unwind. Similarly, the four bedrooms and bunkroom are all kept simple and bright in decor, instead drawing your focus to the views outside – which can be enjoyed from balconies and terraces throughout the villa.
