We have over 90 luxury ski chalets in Verbier, from the town centre to the outskirts of the expansive resort, even one atop a mountain. Verbier is one of the most demanded Swiss ski resorts, so we’ve been trusted to plan hundreds of luxury ski holidays here for our clients in the last 10 years. The town is on the side of a mountain, so expect inclined walks, and prioritise chalets with chauffeurs. We regularly inspect the chalets to ensure the services and amenities are of the highest quality.

Set on a sunny plateau at 1,500m, Verbier enjoys impressive views and more sunlight than many other ski resorts, most of which are typically located in the valley bottom.
Our collection of luxury chalets in Verbier features spacious, sun-soaked terraces, complete with outdoor hot tubs, making the perfect vantage point to drink in those views.
Verbier is built on a bowl-shaped ledge in the mountainside, almost like an amphitheatre. Because of this, getting around on foot often involves walking uphill. To make access effortless, many luxury chalets in Verbier include private chauffeurs. At some top properties, including sister chalets Norte, Sirocco and Calima, this extends to a 24/7 service.
Whether you are heading to first lifts, dropping children at ski school, shopping in town or returning late into the night, this operation helps make your stay as smooth as possible.
Verbier is the heart of the 4 Vallées ski area, Switzerland’s largest, with 420km of pistes. Much of the on-piste skiing is made up of red runs, but many of the slopes leading back into the resort are wide, forgiving and very well maintained.
This means the pistes often feel calm, rather than crowded. There are also gentler areas, including the bowl between Attelas and Col de Chassoure, which has a mix of blue and red runs ideal for relaxed laps.
For complete beginners, Les Esserts is the learning area with a drag lift and magic carpets – perfect for children and first-time skiers. It’s separate from the main ski area, so it offers a non-intimidating, learner-focused space. Hence, a luxury ski holiday to Verbier is a good choice for beginners as well as intermediates and advanced skiers.
Indeed, as many runs face south, you can expect wide, sunlit slopes and panoramic views throughout the day.
The same appeal extends to mountain dining, with Verbier offering some of the best restaurants both on and off the slopes. Large sunny terraces make for long lunches in the sun, a daily staple.
Verbier is also renowned for some of the best lift-served off-piste terrain in the Alps. The resort hosts Xtreme Verbier, the final event of the Freeride World Tour. This attracts professionals from all over the globe and has cemented Verbier as a mecca for freeriding.
The off-piste isn’t just for the experts, though. For advanced skiers wanting a taste, there are seven official freeride itinerary routes: marked, avalanche-controlled off-piste runs that offer access to world-class terrain in a more managed setting.
An advantage of staying in a luxury catered chalet in Verbier is that many chalet staff are passionate skiers with excellent local knowledge, so their recommendations on where to ski each day are invaluable.
Our team also knows the resort exceptionally well and can help match you with the right luxury chalet that suits you. We can also arrange private guides to ensure your time on the mountain is as memorable as possible.
Because Verbier is set on a plateau, with the main ski terrain rising above and behind the resort, there are very few true ski-in/ski-out chalets in Verbier. If direct access to the slopes is a priority, centrally located luxury apartments such as Place Blanche or Medran Penthouse, both close to the snow front, are strong options. We also work with W Hotel, the resort’s only five-star ski-in/ski-out hotel.
Some of Verbier’s finest luxury chalets are in the Hameau development, close to the Les Esserts beginner area. From certain properties, such as Makini or Delormes, it is possible to ski back, but this is off-piste and dependent on snow conditions. In most cases, a luxury ski holiday in Verbier is made more convenient by a dedicated chauffeur service taking you between your chalet and the lifts.
Having a driver also makes it easier to explore more of the wider ski area. For example, spending a day on the La Tzoumaz side of the ski area (via the Savoleyres lift) offers quieter slopes and several relaxed blue runs that work well for mixed-ability groups.
We also offer a small selection of luxury chalets in La Tzoumaz for those seeking a quieter stay and better value, but still with access to the same Four Vallées ski area.
We have been booking Verbier’s top luxury chalets for the past 15 years and can use our local knowledge and trusted contacts to help you find the right fit. We have visited countless times, and some of our team have lived and worked in Verbier so we know it extremely well.
Plus, with the Epic Season Pass or Epic Australia Pass offering up to five consecutive free days of skiing in Verbier, there’s every reason to plan a luxury ski escape to Verbier. (see Epic pass terms).
Yes. Verbier’s reputation off the slopes is almost as strong as its reputation on them.
It offers some of the best après-ski in Switzerland, with lively bars to suit a wide range of tastes. Music is a major part of Verbier’s nightlife, with well-known DJs and artists offering guest appearances, which gives the resort an energy that feels far bigger than its size might appear. Most venues start filling up from around 3 pm, and the atmosphere continues well into the evening.
Absolutely. Verbier is an excellent luxury holiday destination, even for non-skiers. The resort has a wide network of cross-country ski routes and hiking trails. Some paths are quiet and away from the main ski area, while others lead to popular mountain lunch spots such as Carrefour or Le Dahu. The sports centre also offers plenty to do, including squash, tennis, an ice rink, a swimming pool and a climbing wall.
Verbier is a strong destination in both winter and summer. Its proximity to the private airport Sion, easy rail access to Geneva and well-regarded international school make it popular for longer breaks as well as holidays.
As a result, the resort is well set up for year-round living, not just ski trips, with a wide range of outdoor activities, from winter sports to mountain biking.
Alongside luxury holiday rentals, we can also help plan longer stays and arrange seasonal chalet rentals in Verbier.
Verbier’s town sits at 1,500m altitude, with the main ski area reaching up to 3,330m at the top of Mont Fort. As a result, Verbier is certainly considered a high-altitude ski resort and year-on-year has strong snow conditions that reflect this. As such, ski holidays in Verbier are synonymous with sunny, snowy pistes and premier skiing.
