Description
Listen carefully and you might hear the buzzing of a saw slicing through pine logs, as the sounds of this former sawmill echo through time. Lodge Adler is one of four contemporary luxury chalets created out of this relic of mountain life, turning traditional workplace into chic living space.

Your chauffer sweeps through the busy streets of St. Anton to take you to the peaceful nook of Stadle, at the top end of town. The long building of the old sawmill has been divided into four luxury chalets, of which Lodge Adler is at one end, with stunning views over the Rendle mountains. It takes up to ten people, but if you have a larger group you can combine it with the adjacent chalets to take up to 36. You can even meet up on the long shared balcony for a drink or two.

As an individual luxury bolthole, Lodge Adler gives you all the privacy and pampering you could ask for. It steers clear of rustic kitsch in favour of a smooth contemporary style, and just a hint of log cabin. Bathrooms have sleek-tiled surfaces and large walk-in showers, and the unfussy bedrooms are decked out in lavish fabrics and fur throws.

The spacious living area has vaulted ceilings and a blazing fire to create a cosy ambience. Lodge Adler has a professional kitchen which is shared with adjacent Lodge Bodensee and is locked when not in use. But don’t worry, you have a drinks fridge and a kitchenette, so you can grab a drink or a snack, day and night.

In the afternoons, your big dilemma will be whether to meander home via St. Anton’s famous après ski bars, just in time for your gourmet dinner, or whether to rush home and luxuriate in the hot tub. Whatever you decide, the private wellness area of Lodge Adler is a luxury you cannot miss. The combined sauna and steam room will soothe away your aches and pains before you step out onto the roof to discover the bubbling hot tub, screened from prying eyes, but open to the starry skies.

Eating
You'll have a consultation with your chef to ensure that all the food and drink is tailored to your wishes at this luxury ski chalet. Only the finest gourmet cuisine is prepared just for you, every day, in the privacy and comfort of your luxury chalet. Just sit back and relax as your private chef gathers up all the ingredients, prepares every meal and clears away afterwards. Your role is simply to savour the delicious food and drink, and perhaps compliment the chef afterwards.

When you wake up at Lodge Adler, the delicious aroma of breakfast will lure you to the dining table, for a wonderful start to the day. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served on six mornings and on the staff day off, it will be laid out ready and waiting for you. A gourmet evening meal is served on six days of the week, leaving you to explore the culinary delights of St.Anton on one evening or your host will be delighted to make a recommendation. Dishes might include a starter such as asparagus wrapped in smoked salmon, followed by roasted rack and noisette of lamb. And your chef will be more than happy to whip up early teas for the kids.

This chalet has a kitchen which is shared with one other chalet and is locked when the staff are not present, however there is a fully stocked drinks fridge, a hob and tea and coffee making facilities which guests can use at any time.

Perhaps you like to round off a day on the slopes with a cup of steaming coffee and cake on the balcony. Or perhaps you’d like to hop into the hot tub with a glass of bubbly. The choice is yours.

Kids
St. Anton is a great place for families, offering a lively array of entertainment and activities. The enormous Arlberg ski area has lots of beginners’ pistes and nursery areas, so children can enjoy themselves whilst you tackle the challenging reds and blacks. Your chalet host can help book the best English-speaking ski instructors, and the shuttle service is on hand to whisk tired children home at the end of their lessons.

Back at Lodge Adler, kids are well looked after by the chalet staff and you won’t need to worry about them going hungry as the chef can cook them separate early suppers on request.

Every bedroom has a flat screen TV and the chalet is well equipped with games such so there is little chance of boredom. And whatever age your children, there are plenty of childcare options to help take care of them whilst you relax. Perhaps you might like a babysitter one night, if you fancy dipping a toe in St. Anton’s nightlife. Perhaps you need a private nanny or a place in a crèche or kids’ club. However we can help, just ask.
